Painting of Boston being sold in blind auction

Thursday 9th March

This superb painting of Boston, painted by local boy Rohan Goonawardena, has been entered into the Blackfriars Open Art Competition and will be exhibited in Blackfriars foyer during April.

Framed, it measures 30 x 40 inches and it could be yours to keep!

Rohan has very kindly donated to painting to Blackfriars and you are invited to purchase it in a blind auction - sealed bids must be dropped into Box Office by the 28th April. The envelopes must be clearly marked Blackfriars Open - Sealed Bid and will be opened at the end of the exhibition. The highest bid wins the painting. All proceeds from the auction will go to Blackfriars.

Come and see the exhibition from the 4th - 28th April in our foyer Gallery - all other works of art will be available for sale in the usual way.

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
