An Exhibition of Works by Ambo Arts

FREE ENTRY- Foyer Gallery open between 10am - 4pm Monday - Sat.

Ambo Arts consists of three Yorkshire born artists, Judith Gilbert, Geraldine and Nigel Jones. Judith and Geraldine are twin sisters who originate from Ampleforth and took a foundation course at Scarborough where they met Nigel. Geraldine and Nigel married in 1976. The three formed a group when Nigel was recovering from a severe stroke in 2003. This left him with a visual impairment as well as losing the use of his  dominant hand. The artists constantly change ideas and techniques through using different materials and subject matter. They exhibit both together and individually.

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
