Blackfriars Theatre Academy

Fantastic training with industry professionals, live performance opportunities & full scale musicals, encouraging children and young people to become hard working, passionate, dedicated and skilled performers.

Blackfriars Theatre has a long standing tradition of youth theatre that myself and my excellent team are excited to be part of. Our first full scale show as the new Blackfriars Theatre Academy ‘A Christmas Carol’ was a huge success, and one we look forward to building upon this coming year.

We are continuing to expand the membership of our Saturday sessions (where participants learn singing, dance and drama and work towards the big productions) as well as our weekday BTA Performers classes (which focus more specifically on Musical Theatre).

We are also proud to launch the new……

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
