AUSTEN'S WOMEN brings the brilliance of Jane Austen to life!  With excerpts from thirteen of Jane Austen's characters, pieced together by Austen's brilliant narrator, Austen's Women reveals just how relevant and satirical the best selling regency author remains.

The show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009 to wonderful reviews and returned in 2013 and 2017, again to packed houses and 5 star reviews. It had a successful West End run at the Leicester Square Theatre, and garnered 5 star reviews at the 2010 Adelaide Festival and has since been packing out the houses on tour.

SELL OUT RUN at 2009 & 2013 Edinburgh Festivals and Adelaide Festival 2010

Thirteen of Jane Austen’s heroines come to life in this bold revisiting of some of literature’s most celebrated works.

In this much-loved Edinburgh sell-out hit, using only Austen’s words, Rebecca Vaughan (Dalloway, I, Elizabeth, Female Gothic) becomes Emma Woodhouse, Lizzy Bennet, Mrs Norris, Miss Bates and nine other beautifully observed women in critical moments from Austen’s major novels (including Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Emma) and lesser known or unfinished works.

Directed by Olivier Award winner, Guy Masterson (Morecambe).
