Our plan for the future is to build on this year's small beginnings so we welcome a wider audience into Boston and help boost our local economy. Boston boasts a truly international community and the range of entertainment in terms of theatre, music and art is stunning and so where better to give it a home, than here? Blackfriars works hard to ensure our venue is a welcoming place for everyone, and we are especially pleased to welcome Boston Council as one of our supporters this year to ensure that ticket prices have been kept as low as possible, so everyone can experience something new and different, or something familiar, and nostalgic.

Out at Sea
A Darkly Comic Survival Story
Three men adrift on a raft face hunger and desperation, turning to “democracy” to decide who becomes dinner. Performed in Latvian with English translation, this absurdist comedy offers a razor-sharp, witty exploration of human nature and survival.

Atklātā jūrā
Ir absurda komÄ“dija, kuras centrā trÄ«s izsalkuši džentlmeņi, kuri atrodas jÅ«rā uz plosta. PÄ“c vairākām jautrām manipulācijām tikai demokrātija var palÄ«dzÄ“t izlemt, kurš no viņiem bÅ«s nākamā maltÄ«te! Izbaudiet enerÄ£isku, nežēlÄ«gu un jautru civilizācijas galu!

Blackfriars Theatre is run predominately by volunteers. If you would be interested in helping out please speak to our Box Office.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We hope you enjoy the show and encourage others to help Keep Theatre Live in Boston.

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
