After signing a record deal with EMI at the age of 18 and then performing at many of the UK’s top music festivals, Esther O’Connor formed Ashton Lane after meeting husband Tim at one of her solo gigs down a cobbled street in Glasgow, also called Ashton Lane. Their creative partnership, as well their connection over what they value in life, was immediately obvious and the place they met was the perfect name for their band.

Having toured throughout the UK, Scandinavia, Europe and gigged in Nashville Tennessee, this is Ashton Lane's first time at Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre.

Armed with an album full of catchy radio hits and uplifting soulful melodies. Ashton Lane have had over 4 million YouTube views of their 'Kitchen Sessions'

Jeremy Vine (BBC Radio 2) ''Fresh, self-assured and original - Esther's music just makes you happy to be alive. What a great talent.''

The Sunday Mail Live Review ‘‘With buckets of charisma and reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, Esther struts her stuff like a real rock n’ roll princess.’'

“Scotland’s answer to Lady Antebellum”

Thank you for your support and understanding. We hope you enjoy the show and encourage others to help Keep Theatre Live in Boston.

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
